Under assessment

Mr Slinky – just turned 1 year old

Mr Slinky is being fostered in an adult and family home in Gloucestershire, alongside other dogs and with visiting children.

This very lovely little boy has come into our care through no fault of his own. He is a very sweet, loving young dog and we know that he has previously lived with both cats and other dogs.

Sadly, Slinky has already had several homes in his very short life. We also believe that his unusual colouring has attracted attention from people who may have been more interested in his appearance than in understanding what life with an active Dachshund actually involves.

His next home will be the right home. We are looking for people who want Slinky because of his character and personality, not simply because they like the way he looks. Dachshunds are active, intelligent little dogs who need the right lifestyle, and Slinky deserves a home where he can be part of the family, enjoy life and thrive.

He has only just arrived with us, so, as we always say, so far, so good! He is a very sweet young dog who now needs some stability in his little life and people who are looking for their next best friend and family member.

We suspect that Slinky will be happiest in a home with another friendly dog or dogs, although this will form part of our assessment.
Slinky will be neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with worm and flea treatment before he leaves our care.

Please remember that Slinky is still under assessment and we will update his profile as we get to know him better.
