Under Assessment – Benji

Benji is around 8 years old and we believe he may be a Westie x Lhasa Apso. He is currently being fostered in an adult-only home in Gloucestershire.
This beautiful boy is the third dog we have taken in this week from the pound. We were told how terrified he was, and the photos we received were truly heartbreaking.
Poor Benji arrived shaking, looking completely confused and traumatised.
He has only been with us a few days, but the transformation we’ve seen within just 24 hours in his lovely foster home has been incredible. We suspect he may have lost his owner or experienced a sudden change in his life, because now he is back in a calm, loving home environment, he is already beginning to relax. The fear in his eyes has softened, and we are starting to see a much happier little dog emerge.
It is still very early days, but we are so relieved we were able to get him out when we did.
Benji is booked in with the vet this week. We do have some concerns about his teeth, and he will also begin his vaccinations and be neutered.
For now, please be patient. We will update his profile in around a week once we have had more time to get to know him and understand the type of home that will suit him best.
