Welcome to Starfish Dog Rescue
Starfish Dog Rescue is a small voluntary, not for profit organisation, based near Stroud in Gloucestershire.
We are a small team of very experienced local volunteers many who have been involved with the larger well-known organisation in the past and grew disillusioned and wanted to be part of team where its all about the dogs. We are a well-established team who have worked closely with each other for many years.
The dogs that find their way to us are those in need of support in a small home-based rescue where the dogs are fostered as our own in our homes – the old, the young and more vulnerable that would not do well with a kennel-based rescue.
We are unable to help dog aggressive dogs because of this. Please contact us through the contact page if you are in this unfortunate position and we will do our best to help you or point you in the right direction.

Our Story
Starfish Dog Rescue started out of need in 2011.
After being involved for many years with larger organisations and becoming disillusioned, we starting helping in a small way locally and slowly like-minded people with similar stories joined Starfish Dog Rescue.
Slowly over the years a lovely team has been built up who sing from the same hymn book where the dogs are the priority.

Adopting a new family member, not just a dog, is a serious life changing event.

Our Fees
Our adoption fee is £350.00 for our dogs all of which receive the best possible care during their stay with us. The cost of their care is usually always beyond the adoption fee.
