Our policies ...
Each dog we rescue is important to us, and from the moment a dog comes into our care we are committed to its welfare and happiness.
This dog will be part of our bigger doggy family, and treated as one of our own, and we are totally committed to helping this dog on
towards its forever home, with our back up and support for the rest of that dog's life.
All our dogs are placed in foster homes so they can be thoroughly assessed before rehoming. By living with a family the dog gets used to the everyday routine it will face when rehomed. Having a different range of experienced foster homes we can then assess the dog properly
and get to know him, or her, so we can then judge what we feel will be the right home for that dog. We are very experienced at matching
up owners with dogs, and we never compromise on this, which is reflected by a return rate, which is extremely low. Our foster carers are experienced dog lovers, and they often have dogs, children, chickens and cats of their own and they are dedicated to helping our dogs feel
secure and confident, ready to find their forever homes.
We give our dogs a health check to make sure that there is no obvious condition which would prevent their rehoming. We pay for any emergency treatment when needed and vaccinate all our dogs. If a serious health condition is found this will be treated - no dog will ever leave our care sick-
if it requires more intensive treatment then we will fund raise to do this. All medical histories will be transferred to new owners vets.
We are blessed to work with an amazing Veterinary Practice, Spa Vets in Gloucester -our Vet Becky and her team is a God send for our animals.
All our dogs are neutered, if old enough, before they leave our care- if too young you will sign an Adoption Agreement agreeing to do this once
the dog is old enough. All our dogs are also fully vaccinated, chipped, fleaed and wormed. We will transfer the chip details over to the new owners. All our dogs come with one months free Pet Plan Insurance ,which gives you time to sort out cover for your dog. All our Spanish dogs
are blood tested for Mediterranean diseases and come with certificates and Passports with their vaccinations properly documented in it.
All prospective owners will have to fill out our questionnaire, which answers our questions.
Without question all prospective homes are home checked, and telephone interviews will also take place with a representative from the
Rescue to answer any other questions they ,or us, may have. You will also speak to the foster home .
You will be expected to travel to visit the dog in its home environment . We will never transport or deliver a dog to someone's house like a parcel- so please do not ask.
